What is this initiative about?Family Rock is a marriage formation program out of the Archdiocese of Toledo, Spain. Family Rock accompanies couples during their first five years of marriage by hosting in-person events, providing educational content for couples to read and learn from, sending a monthly bulletin, and posting regularly on our website.

Why is this initiative important for the training and advancement of the laity in your country?Family Rock is an initiative that responds to Pope Francis call in chapter 6 of Amoris Laetitia to “accompany the first years of married life”.
How did it start
How was this initiative developed?Family Rocks started with a group of couples (including one newly-wed couple) from the Archdiocese of Toledo. From that point on, Family Rock has been used in all the marriage preparation courses of the Archdiocese.

Does it benefit the laity on a national or local level?Family Rock helps newly-wed couples understand their lay vocation and to live their call to conjugal holiness.

Who funds the initiative? What is needed to launch this initiative?This initiative is carried out by the Family Delegation of the Archdiocese of Toledo.
Family Rock does not require much funding. Our program is very simple to implement because young couples only need to sign up to receive our monthly email.
