God Calls is a mobile app for Apple and Android users that helps people, especially young adults, listen to God in their daily lives. The app provides users with daily Biblical readings, proposes questions for reflection, and shares inspirational stories about the lives of the saints. The app also provides information about other Catholic organizations as  well as local discernment events for those considering their vocation.

It was a resource project of the National Office for Vocation of the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.

The God Calls app helps discerners reflect on scripture, journal, learn and pray, as well as allows them to feel a part of a wider Catholic community and offers them opportunities to come together with like-minded peers to build friendships and supportive communities.

Means and funding

Who funds the initiative? What is needed to launch this initiative?

The app was funded mostly by private donations. The app can be modified to suit other countries and the developer is willing to work with other ecclesial institutions in order for this to be made available to as many people as possible.
